Family Group Conferences in Haringey (1998)
The Haringey Family Group Conference project provided the opportunity to evaluate:
- The use of set referral criteria
- The use of the model after initial child protection conference
- The applicability of the process, and process outcomes, in a multi-ethnic, multi-language population
- The resource demands on the social service department
The evaluation was undertaken by the University of Sheffield in conjunction with Carmel Shepherd, the Haringey project manager.
